Gun control advocates speak out after temple shooting
Wall Street Journal: The international Sikh community was left reeling after Sunday’s shooting in Oak Creek, Wis. left six worshipers dead.
On Monday, Mayor Bloomberg of NYC led calls for stricter gun control legislation nationwide. Bloomberg spoke at the Sikh Cultural Society in Queens.
“No matter who you are, no matter where you’re from, no matter what religion you profess, you have a right to be safe in your homes, in your places of worship and in the streets of New York City,” Bloomberg said. “We have no tolerance for intolerance.”
