PRIORITIES.
According to the US Department of Defense (offense), the Pentagon has spent $9.2 billion (no big deal..have you seen our debt?) in the last week. Included on the tab was approximately 6 billion in commercial shipping contracts.
Facing a $665 million deficit, the Chicago Public School set their fiscal 2013 budget at $5.16 billion on Friday. Over 800 CPS teachers are expected to be laid off in the next school year. Yet the Pentagon has enough money to send $9 billion in a week.
